Wellspring's 30-Week Cancer Exercise Program
This exercise program is available to cancer patients at all stages of treatment, organized by a physiotherapist specializing in cancer rehabilitation. Program benefits can result in a reduction of side effects, strength and stamina improvements, and better physical and emotional wellness.
Wellspring Yoga
Yoga is one of the most popular programs offered at Wellspring that participants to gain greater control over their physical and emotional well-being through breathing, stretching, body poses, and meditation techniques.
ELLISCR
This Health, Wellness, and Cancer Survivorship Centre provides cooking demonstrations for both healthy and delicious recipes, along with classes and programs on managing side effects throughout the cancer journey, and how to care for yourself by participating in healthy exercise and eating.
Wellspring's Cooking Series
Nourish offers a variety of nutrition-based sessions that teach cancer patients and their families about healthy nutritional practices pertaining to cancer and wellness. It is led by an experience nutritional expert.
Gilda's Club
Gilda’s Club offers exercise programs providing instruction on yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong, Reiki, and Tai Chi. They also offer workshops such as Creative Movement with the National Ballet School of Canada, Zumba, and a Yoga and Art Therapy group (for more information, click here.)
Locations include: GTA, Simcoe Muskoka, and Southeastern Ontario
CanWell Program
It is a 12-week supervised and specialized exercise and education program for people with cancer at any stage of their treatment.
No medical referral is required to join CanWell. However, it is required that they provide a physician's clearance to exercise, to help ensure that the exercise is performed in a safe manner.
Locations include: Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford.
